Summer Day Camp

For In-District & Out-Of-District Community members (ID/OD)

Our All-Day Camps will run from 8 am to 3 pm, giving parents the flexibility to choose between a 3-day program or a week-long adventure for their child. To ensure the best experience, children must be entering the specified grades in Fall 2026. Please note that there will be no camp on July 3rd. Rest assured, we have adjusted all payments accordingly to ensure fairness. Explore the exciting individual camps below! 

 

Note: Sessions/ weeks of camp can be reserved with a $25 non-refundable deposit per week per child.

Spotlight Theater Camp  

Location: Community Center 

2nd Floor – Dance Room, 1919 Walnut Ave. 

 

Step into the spotlight this summer! Our brand-new Theater Summer Camp is the only camp running for 7 weeks, meeting Tuesdays & Thursdays starting June 9. Participants will explore dance, improv, acting games, and creative movement while building confidence and teamwork skills. The program wraps up with a special end-of-summer showcase where campers perform for family and friends. 

Theater Camp Weekly Prices only: R$175/ NR$ 

Camp Add-ons!

All camps have the option of the 3-day pass or the 5-day pass. Camp Sunrise and Sunset takes place at the Ahlstrand Fieldhouse. 

 

If your child is enrolled in Camp Sunrise, they will be walked over with staff to their campsite once Camp Sunrise is done at 8 am. If your child is enrolled into Camp Sunset they will be walked over at the end of their camp day to Ahlstrand Fieldhouse if needed. In the case of severe weather, campers will be shuttled to Ahlstrand Fieldhouse.

Sports & Splash Camp | 3rd - 6th Grade

Our campers will be able to explore a new sport each week as they take part in exciting athletic activities with special guest instructors! They'll also cool off at Seafari Spring Aquatic Center and get ready for the ultimate day of fun when we go on an awesome sports-themed field trip once a week.

New Payment Plan

We are happy to offer our parents the option of a Payment Plan to secure a spot in our Summer Day Camp. Parents will only have to pay a $25 security deposit for each week they wish their child to attend and pay the remaining balance by the due date listed on the agreement.

Camp Sunset (All grades)

3:00 pm - 6:15 pm 

Extend the camp day at Camp Sunset. Campers will relax after a long day with quiet activities, crafts, and more outdoor fun. An afternoon snack will be provided.

Camp registration may be done in person or over the phone (Community Center - 1919 Walnut Ave. Hanover Park). At the time of registration, parents will receive the “Summer Day Camp Parent Manual” and the Camp Emergency Form link which MUST be done by the first day of camp.

How to Register:  

Registration must be completed at the Park District office or by phone-in. A parent handbook will be given out prior to the program start date. Included in the handbook is an Emergency Release Form. This form must be completed and turned in on the first day of BASC. 

Upon completing registration, you will receive:

  • A link to our Digital Emergency

  

How to Pay:  

Tuition is based on the total number of days school is actually in session per year. Fees are divided into 9 equal payments for the school year and will not be lower for those months that have fewer attendance days due to holidays (i.e. winter and spring break)  

  

A $15 non-district fee will be charged at the time of registration when applicable.

Preschool Mission Statement

Hanover Park Park District is dedicated to preparing little sprouts for kindergarten with care and creativity! We offer a secure and nurturing environment where young learners can grow and thrive. Our programs focus on essential skills like motor development, independence-building, and listening comprehension. Totally 2s & 3s Information: 

Parents may stay on the first day of class to help ease their child into separation. This is not a parent/tot program, and parents will be asked to stop attending after the first class. 

Pull-ups are acceptable, but our teachers cannot change any child. Children should be in the process of learning how to be toilet-independent while attending this program. Parents must be available to return to the program to change their child’s pull-up or in case of a bathroom accident. 

Pre-kindergarten 

Get your little sprout ready for kindergarten with our heartwarming program! Our curriculum introduces young learners to colors, sizes, shapes, numbers, and reading readiness. They’ll also pick up valuable skills like following directions and understanding time, all while blossoming socially and emotionally. Our caring teachers will guide your child through the alphabet, addresses, phone numbers, and even writing their names. This nurturing program is designed for those who will start kindergarten in the fall of 2026, and we’ll celebrate their growth with a special graduation on May 26, 2027. Please note that if enrollment is low, we may need to combine Pre-K classes. Keep an eye out for any changes due to CDC guidelines.

Preschool Spring Break Camp

Give your preschooler a fun and gentle introduction to camp during Spring Break! Our Preschool Spring Break Camp is designed just for little learners to explore, play, and make new friends in a safe and nurturing environment.

Campers will enjoy themed activities including arts & crafts, games, music and movement, story time, and hands-on play that supports social skills and creativity. Camp runs Monday through Thursday. No campon Friday for Good Friday. To make the week extra special, campers will head out on a field trip for a fun adventure outside the classroom.

Hop on over for a fun-filled Bunny celebration for the whole family! Join us for our annual Bunny Egg Hunt, featuring classic Easter eggs filled with goodies and surprises for kids to enjoy.

Families will also have the opportunity to meet with local outreach organizations and learn about resources and programs available in the Hanover Park community.

Are you stuck indoors this winter? Always wanted to learn to draw or paint? We have the class for you. Come learn to draw in our 2-hour beginning class. Through our expert guidance, we will teach you the basics, then you can expand your efforts into several colorful mediums. Soccer Skills 101

Players are introduced to fundamental soccer tactics, including passing, ball control, offensive and defensive movement, and taking the ball away from the opposing team. Participants will learn how to score goals and defend effectively while building physical endurance and overall fitness through consistent ball touches. At this stage, the focus begins to shift from simple activities to more organized, tactical, and competitive game play in a supportive team environment.

Spring Youth Soccer Leagues

The mission of the Youth Soccer League is to develop confident, disciplined, and respectful athletes. Our recreational league provides a supportive environment to foster teamwork, accountability, and sportsmanship in a safe, and inclusive space. 

 

The season will include a participation medal, and an end of season party. All players will receive equal training and game time, whether they are beginners or seasoned players. 

 

The season will consist of at least one (1) practice per week, and one (1) game per week. These games will typically be on Saturdays; your practice time and day will be chosen by your coach, after the registration deadline. 

 

Teams may compete against nearby park districts. The season will consist of a 7-game regular season. Players should register based on their age as of Mar. 1st, 2026; Shin guards are required. Soccer cleats are recommended. Players have the option of purchasing a jersey if they do not already have one from prior seasons. 

  

The practice location will be at the Community Center and Ahlstrand Park.  

All teams are coached by volunteer coaches. If interested in coaching, please contact Austin Sudack at a.sudack@hpparks.org. Volunteer coaches may be eligible for program discounts.

Don’t strike out on the opportunity to give your athlete an experience to be exposed to the fundamentals of baseball, gain confidence, and experience friendly competition recreationally.

 

Practices will be on Monday evenings, followed by games on Wednesday evenings.

This will be a 6-week season followed by an end-of-season tournament on the last Saturday of the season. Shirts are included. Parents will need to provide pants, gloves, a helmet, a hat, and a bat. Awards will be given to all participants.

This baseball class introduces players to the game. Players work on technique and enhancing form in this comprehensive skills clinic. The Hanover Park Park District gymnastics program is operated by the Gymkhana Gymnastics Club. Gymkhana has been providing high-quality instruction in gymnastics since 1975. They offer programs for all ages and abilities starting from preschool gymnastics classes, to their nationally competing U.S.A.

 

Gymnastics Men’s and Women’s teams. Gymkhana’s professional staff is comprised of U.S.A. Gymnastics safety certified coaches. The Gymkhana facility is 25,300 square feet of the latest and best equipment.

Centre Court Athletic Club

Centre Court Athletic Club equips suburban citizens with everything they need to get fit and have fun. In addition to a traditional cardio center and weight room, the club also comes equipped with more than a dozen indoor Tennis and Pickleball courts, which host matches no matter the weather.

The racquetball court offers hardwood floors and complete climate control for year-round playing comfort.

Our 10 indoor tennis courts feature the “Chevron Laykold¨ surface which offers a true bounce and minimum leg fatigue to players of every ability. Four of the indoor courts are air-conditioned for your summertime comfort.

Court Reservations & Cancellations

Members may reserve court time up to seven days in advance. Cancellation of court time must be made at least 24 hours in advance of play. Members are responsible for court fees if for any reason they wish to cancel in less than 24 hours and the court cannot be sold.  Members who make reservations and fail to show up are responsible for the cost of the court and are charged accordingly.

Handicap Accessibility

The Park District and the CCAC are handicapped accessible and comply with A.D.A. standards. The elevator is accessible from all 3 levels and is available for public use.

 

Locker Rooms, Whirlpools & Saunas

Club members will enjoy the clean and spacious men’s & women’s locker rooms, each with its own whirlpool and sauna.

 

Lounge and Snack Bar

The central core of the club includes a lounge area complete with a big screen TV where members and guests may relax after a hard workout.

Monthly Play Pass

If playing a lot of tennis is high on your priority list you can’t go wrong by purchasing a Play Pass. Reservations may be made up to 48 hours in advance, initially for one-and-a-half hours of tennis. If the court is available at the end of that time, just keep playing until you drop!

Non-play pass holders must pay their portion of the court time fees.  A valid CCAC membership is required to purchase a play pass.
