Beginning Guitar Lessons

Ages 8-12 | Wed | $144/$159

Summer fun means learning something new and exciting.  Get their journey started by enrolling your child in our wonderful guitar class. Learn guitar from a performing professional guitar instructor! Beginning lessons are given on Wednesday evenings in conjunction with A & A Music Academy.  Each class is designed to teach basic music reading skills, chords, strumming techniques, plus much more, and all with fun songs you’ll love! Class size is limited to 4 students, but if the class is full, please sign up on the waiting list.  We will make additional classes, and try our best to get everyone that signs up into a class

Beginning Piano Lessons

Ages 6-10 | Mon | $144/$159

The piano is the best new hobby for every child to have on those rainy days of summer.  End boring moments and fill your home with music!  Learn to play piano from a professional degreed musician/instructor.  Basic music skills such as keyboard facility, music reading, and counting will be taught using colorful fun songs.  Your child will enjoy making music from the very first class!  Beginning classes for children are being offered in conjunction with A & A Music Academy. Class size is limited to 4 students, but if the class is full, please sign up on the waiting list.  We will make additional classes, and try our best to get everyone that signs up into a class.  Fill your home with music!

Private Drum Lessons

Ages 8+ | Thr | $111/$126

For children and adults, beginners and experienced drummers! You'll learn Jazz, Rock, Blues, Funk, and Latin Funk drum techniques during private half-hour lessons on a professional drum set. Instructor Verne Duddles creates a comfortable, safe, and inspiring atmosphere to maximize each student's progress. Safety guidelines will be followed throughout the lesson, such as wearing masks, maintaining a 6-ft distance, and sanitizing equipment through each use.

 

Please bring a set of drum sticks to class (price is $6-$12), available at any music store. Recommended drumsticks: Size 7A for children and 5A for adults.

Guidelines to Follow:

 

1. Participants should wear face coverings over their nose and mouth. (exceptions can be made for people with medical conditions or disabilities that prevent them from safely wearing a face covering).

 

2. Lessons will allow for 6-ft. of social distancing between participants and instructor.

 

3. Please wash your hands before and after the program. 

 

4. Before allowing entrance or before class, staff will ask whether participants are currently exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms. If a participant does have symptoms, they should not enter the premises. Please contact us for a refund due to illness. 

 

5. Equipment will not be shared between participants unless from the same household.

 

6. Classes do not add new participants once the session has started.

 

7. Parents and guardians are not allowed to enter the board room, this way we can maintain social distancing.

 

8. Under no circumstance will the instructor allow contact between participants.

Intro to Coding: Scratch 1

Ages 7-14 | Mon - Fri | $199/$299 

Ninjas become game builder’s for a week in this fun exciting camp! They will learn computer science concepts by creating various Scratch games - such as Block Stacker, Catch Cats, Dodgeball and Red Light, Green Light - and develop their own game. Concepts include variables, loops, functions, animation, clones, video detection, audio detection, and more!

Minecraft 1

In this week-long camp, ninjas will gain an understanding of the digital modeling processes and storytelling as they build scenes in Minecraft and produce stories in their digital world. They will also be introduced to recording, editing, and mixing audio and video as they produce their final stories as short movies.

 

Requires a Java edition account ($27.95) not included in the camp.

Minecraft 2

Want to build on your Minecraft knowledge? In this camp, ninjas will learn to manipulate and master Minecraft by making their own mods(modifications). Using basic block-based coding ninjas will learn procedures, conditionals, and variables. They will create 2D and 3D textures for use in their Minecraft world along with their very own custom content, including weapons, armor, and even enemies!

Roblox 1

Ninjas will learn the basics of game building and creative development in Roblox, an exciting, user-generated online gaming platform similar to Minecraft. Campers will use Roblox to create much more than just a game! Open to all levels of experience, this camp will teach ninjas how to plan, design, and build their own 3D world.

Roblox 2

Ninjas familiar with Roblox will take their Roblox skills to the next level! Campers learn the fundamentals of scripting (coding) and dig into the game-making side of Roblox to move from being a player to becoming a developer. Using the Lua programming language, ninjas will create their own timed, sudden-death Roblox game along with an interactive obstacle course game. Roblox account required (free).

Become a YouTuber

Campers will learn the basics of YouTube and design a custom video thumbnail for their very own personalized YouTube video tutorial. This camp advances existing Scratch, Robloxor MakeCode skills as campers create a more complex game that requires additional loops, inputs, and movements.

Adventures in 3D Printing

Through Adventure in 3D Printing, ninjas will explore design thinking and the innovative process as they learn to prototype and test new creations. Campers can choose a path of creating a new model in CAD or importing a design to remix.
