All camps have the option of the 3-day pass or the 5-day pass.
Camp Sunrise and Sunset takes place at the Ahlstrand Fieldhouse.
If your child is enrolled in Sports and Splash Camp, they will walk with staff to the Community Center after Camp Sunrise. If your Sports & Splash camper is enrolled in camp Sunset, they will walk with staff to Ahlstrand Fieldhouse at 3:00 pm. Bussing will be made available in the case of inclement weather.
If your child is enrolled in Teen Camp, they will be bussed to Longmeadow Activity Center after Camp Sunrise. If your Teen Camper is enrolled in camp sunset, they will be bussed to Ahlstrand Fieldhouse at 3:00 pm.

Camp registration may be done in person or over the phone. At the time of registration, parents will receive the “Summer Day Camp Parent Manual” and the Camp Emergency Form (if registering over the phone, parents must print the manual and emergency form).

All Day Camps will take place from 8 am - 3 pm, parents have the option to enroll their child into the 3-day program or to sign their child up for a week of fun. Children must be entering the grades listed in Fall 2023. Listed below are the individual camps. Please note, there will be NO CAMP on July 3rd - 4th. This has been taken into account, and all payments have been divided equally.

Our littlest campers are in for a fun-filled day of meeting new friends and having the time of their lives! Our campers will be able to explore a new sport each week as they take part in exciting athletic activities with special guest instructors! They'll also cool off at Seafari Spring Aquatic Center, and get ready for the ultimate day of fun when we go on an awesome sports-themed field trip once a week.
New Payment Plan
We are happy to offer our parents the option of a Payment Plan to secure a spot in our Summer Day Camp. Parents will only have to pay a $25 security deposit for each week they wish their child to attend, and pay the remaining balance by the due date listed on the agreement.

Passes are available for all serviced schools. Please email s.carrasquillo@hpparks.org to inquire about pass availability. We ask that you provide us with at least 24-hour notice if a daily pass is needed.
How to Register:
Registration must be completed at the Park District office or by phone-in. A parent handbook will be given out prior to the program start date. Included in the handbook is an Emergency Release Form. This form must be completed and turned in on the first day of BASC.
How to Pay:
Tuition is based on the total number of days school is actually in session per year. Fees are divided into 9 equal payments for the school year and will not be lower for those months that have fewer attendance days due to holidays (i.e. winter and spring break)
A $15 non-district fee will be charged at the time of registration when applicable.

Preschool Mission Statement:
The Hanover Park Park District aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment in order to encourage the progression of socialization skills, motor skills, and emotional development of all our students while also encouraging independence, listening skills, and self-expression. Our students prepare for Kindergarten through the learning of numbers, letters, writing, reading, colors, and shapes.

This program is designed to provide your child with their first introduction to the preschool setting. Our qualified, caring, and nurturing staff will help ease each child’s separation from their parents. This class aims to emphasize socialization and learning through the use of play. Totally 2s & 3s Information:
Parents may stay on the first day of class to help ease their child into separation. This is not a parent/tot program and parents will be asked to stop attending after the first class.
Pull-ups are acceptable, but our teachers are not able to change any child. Children should be in the process of learning how to be toilet independent while attending this program. Parents must be available to return to the program to change their child’s pull-up or in case of a bathroom accident.
Make the smart choice to get your little one ready for kindergarten! Our curriculum is based on the Illinois Early Learning Standards. Students will learn about colors, size, shapes, numbers, reading readiness as well as how to follow directions and time. All while developing social-emotional and listening skills. Teachers will explore the alphabet, addresses, phone numbers, and how to write their names. Classes are designed to prepare children who enter kindergarten in the fall of 2023. A graduation celebration will be held at the end of the school year. Parents are encouraged to help 1-2 times a month in the preschool programs. Information may change due to CDC guidelines. Graduation for all Pre-K classes will take place Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

Guidelines to Follow:

Minecraft II: Modding with Minecraft

Code Your Own Robot in Minecraft

The focus of the Golden Lion Academy combines the disciplines of Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido Judo, and Kung-fu. Students learn the basics of self-defense from day one. They build upon these features by adding more advanced techniques from various styles. As students progress, they earn opportunities for advancement through the various ranks in a safe, friendly, and enjoyable environment. This commitment has helped the Golden Lion Academy develop countless numbers of individuals over the past 30 years. Advanced placement requires the instructor’s authorization to enroll.

The Hanover Park Park District gymnastics program is operated by the Gymkhana Gymnastics Club. Gymkhana has been providing high-quality instruction in gymnastics since 1975. They offer programs for all ages and abilities starting from preschool gymnastics classes, to their nationally competing U.S.A. Gymnastics Men’s and Women’s teams. Gymkhana’s professional staff is composed of U.S.A. Gymnastics safety certified coaches. The Gymkhana facility is 25,300 square feet of the latest and best equipment.

Our soccer program is designed to take your game to the next level! Players will increase their foot skills and decision-making speed giving players the edge they need. Games will be held on Saturdays with Hanover Park teams playing against each other. Practices during the week that will sharpen your skills.

Our athletic leagues are highly reliant on volunteer coaches. All necessary equipment and training resources are provided, ensuring that our volunteer coaches are prepared to coach, and have a fun and rewarding experience.
To show our appreciation for your commitment, all volunteer coaches receive a sweater or polo, a team picture plaque, and a discount on your child’s registration.

Soccer Skills Clinic 101 Evenings

Players are introduced to the fundamentals of soccer tactics such as passing the ball, offensive moves, defensive moves, keeping/controlling the ball, and taking the ball away from the opposing team. Players learn to score and prevent goals. Physical endurance and fitness are emphasized while touching the ball. At this age, the focus starts to change from simple games to organized, tactical, competitive games.

Fall Inter-Village Soccer Leagues
The Inter Village league will provide an environment for players of all levels. Teams are offered at the following levels: U8 (1st/2nd grade), U10 (3rd/4th grade), U12 (5th/6th grade) and U14 (7th/8th grade). Teams will compete against teams from other areas of park districts. Practice days and times are determined by the volunteer coach. The games are on Saturdays. Players should register based on their grades for the 2023/2024 school year. Each player receives a team jersey, shorts, and socks. Shin guards are required. Soccer cleats are recommended.
10 Weeks: $125
Practice times will be based on coaches' availability during the weeknight.

ISKC’s Youth karate classes will put children in touch with their bodies and offer a good mix of strength training, with cardiovascular and flexibility exercises. Children increase their coordination, agility, and poise, as well as learn lasting personal safety skills. They also benefit from the mental stimulation of learning the choreographed moves of the kata and the discipline of conforming to the class rules.

Open Swim
The Seafari Springs Aquatic Center offers a wide range of exciting activities for visitors to enjoy. Our Open Swim program is available to all ages and abilities, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro. All visitors entering the pool must either have a valid Seafari Springs Aquatic Center 2023 membership, punch pass, or daily use fee, and children under 10 must be accompanied by and supervised by an adult 16 years old or older at all times. At the pool deck, safety is our top priority, so no unaccompanied minors are allowed in order to ensure optimal security.
Our Open Swim program has something for everyone - from leisurely soaking up the sun to invigorating laps around the pool! Whether you are looking for a heart-pumping adventure or just want to relax with friends and family, our heated pool provides the perfect environment for fun in the sun. We provide lounge chairs for those who prefer to take it easy and observe from afar. For those looking for more action-packed activities, we offer diving boards, water slides, and plenty of toys that can be rented out at an additional cost. Plus, our trained lifeguards are always ready to lend a helping hand if needed!

Seafari Springs Aquatic Center Swim Lessons offer swimming instruction for people of all ages and abilities. Our instructors use a variety of games and activities to create a fun but educational atmosphere for our swimmers. At the start of each session, youth participants will be evaluated and placed into classes according to their skill level, allowing them to progress at their own pace. Our program is designed in such a way that swimmers should see an improvement in their skills over the course of the summer, with practice and participation.
Our parent manual provides additional information about our Swim Lesson Academy, outlining our engaging lesson plans, safety protocols, and helpful tips on how parents can support their children’s learning. We also provide certified lifeguards on duty at all times during lessons to ensure that everyone is safe while having fun. Swimming is an essential skill not only for recreation but also as an important life-saving ability - so why not learn with us? Seafari Springs Aquatic Center Swim Lessons are designed to help students become more confident in the water while having fun!

Summer Camps Group Rates 2023
Summer Camps at Seafari Springs Aquatic Center are a great way to have fun and stay cool this summer! Our camp allows each camper to enjoy all the aquatic center has to offer, including our four slides, three animal-themed water features, diving board, and concession stand. $7 per camper with a minimum of 15 campers and all counselors free, our Summer Camp is a safe and affordable way for kids of all ages to make memories they won't soon forget. Plus, with certified lifeguard staff on duty, you can rest assured knowing your child is in good hands. So come down to Seafari Springs Aquatic Center this summer and let the memories begin! COMPETITIVE ORGANIZATION
The Sailfish Swim Team is part of the DuPage Swim & Dive Conference. Our swim team offers swimmers between the ages of 6-18 the opportunity for competition and skill development. Our coach fosters an environment that improves each swimmer’s sportsmanship, responsibility, discipline, and confidence while developing their strokes and endurance. New swimmers are always welcome. Swimmers will practice in the mornings for up to 5 days a week and then compete in meets. Our team competes against the 10 other park districts in our conference. A meeting schedule will be available at the first practice.

Club members will enjoy the clean and spacious men’s & women’s locker rooms, each with its own whirlpool and sauna.
Lounge and Snack Bar
The central core of the club includes a lounge area complete with a big screen TV where members and guests may relax after a hard workout.
Racquetball Courts
The two racquetball courts offer hardwood floors and complete climate control for year-round playing comfort.
Tennis Courts
Our 10 indoor tennis courts feature the “Chevron Laykold¨ surface which offers a true bounce and minimum leg fatigue to players of every ability. Four of the indoor courts are air-conditioned for your summertime comfort.

Court Reservations & Cancellations
Members may reserve court time up to seven days in advance. Cancellation of court time must be made at least 24 hours in advance of play. Members are responsible for court fees if for any reason they wish to cancel in less than 24 hours and the court cannot be sold. Members who make reservations and fail to show up are responsible for the cost of the court and are charged accordingly.
Monthly Play Pass
If playing a lot of tennis is high on your priority list you can’t go wrong by purchasing a Play Pass. Reservations may be made up to 48 hours in advance, initially for one-and-a-half hours of tennis. If the court is available at the end of that time, just keep playing until you drop!
Non-play pass holders must pay their portion of the court time fees. A valid CCAC membership is required to purchase a play pass.
