Fall Youth Soccer Leagues
The mission of the Youth Soccer League is to develop confident, disciplined, and respectful athletes. Our recreational league provides a supportive environment to foster teamwork, accountability, and sportsmanship in a safe and inclusive space.
The season will include a participation medal and free space for an end-of-season party. All players will receive equal training and game time, whether they are beginners or seasoned players. Teams will use the App called TeamSnap for game and practice schedules.
The season will consist of at least one (1) practice per week, and one (1) game per week. These games will typically be on Saturdays; your practice time and day will be chosen by your coach after the registration deadline.
Teams will compete against nearby park districts. The season will consist of a 7-game regular season. Players should register based on their grade level for Fall 2026; Shin guards are required. Soccer cleats are recommended. Players have the option of purchasing a jersey if they do not already have one from prior seasons. The price of a jersey is an additional $10. Jerseys must be purchased at the registration desk, and parents will be responsible for picking them up.
The practice location will be at Community Center Park and Ahlstrand Park.
All teams are coached by volunteer parent coaches. If interested in coaching, please contact Sofia Castaneda at s.castaneda@hpparks.org. Volunteer coaches may be eligible for household program discounts. Training videos for skills and drills are provided to volunteer coaches through the TeamSnap app.

The Basketball Skills Development program for ages 10 and above is designed to help participants build a solid foundation in the sport. Our experienced instructors focus on teaching fundamental basketball skills, including shooting, dribbling, and passing, while also introducing the basic rules of the game. The instructional sessions are primarily game and drill-oriented, ensuring an engaging and dynamic learning experience. Each week, participants have the opportunity to apply their newly acquired skills in mini-games and scrimmages, fostering teamwork and game awareness.

Winter Inter-Village Basketball Leagues
Hanover Park Park District Winter Basketball Inter-Village League is now open for registration. Our district will compete against other park districts, such as teams from Roselle, Carol Stream, Hoffman, Bloomingdale, and many more park districts. Teams will be put into divisions and play against other park districts throughout the season in this fun and recreational basketball league. Come join Hanover Park and compete for your town against our neighbors!
Players will receive instructions from volunteer coaches in dribbling, passing, and shooting, as well as learning the importance of teamwork and good sportsmanship. The volunteer coach determines practice times. Leagues will compete on Saturdays at the other park district's gym. Each player will receive a jersey and shorts.

The Hanover Park Park District gymnastics program is operated by the Gymkhana Gymnastics Club. Gymkhana has been providing high-quality instruction in gymnastics since 1975. They offer programs for all ages and abilities starting from preschool gymnastics classes, to their nationally competing U.S.A.
Gymnastics Men’s and Women’s teams. Gymkhana’s professional staff is comprised of U.S.A. Gymnastics safety certified coaches. The Gymkhana facility is 25,300 square feet of the latest and best equipment.

This program introduces young children to gymnastics alongside their parents. Skyward Fencing
Discover the thrill of fencing with our dynamic classes, tailored by level for both beginners and more seasoned fencers. We blend education, fun, and fitness through engaging activities and games, all while instilling a strong foundation in sportsmanship, discipline, and a love for the sport.
