Before School Club (BSC)

Our before-school staff not only provides a safe and fun environment but also participates in games and crafts with your child before they start the school day.  A light breakfast will be available. With a flexible schedule (you choose how many days your child attends) and a reasonable fee, you cannot go wrong.

 

Location: Ahlstrand Fieldhouse | Start Time: 6:15 am

Schools Serviced:  Anne Fox, Hanover Highlands, Horizon, Laurel Hill, Parkwood, and Ontarioville for kindergarten through 6th grade.

Transportation from school to our facility is provided by our shuttle bus.

Keep your kids active and busy after school!  Our after-school staff not only provides a safe and fun environment, but also participates in sports, games, and crafts with your child.  There’s homework and snack time too.  With a flexible schedule (you pick how many days your child attends) and a reasonable fee, you cannot go wrong. We now offer our program at three locations!

Location: Ahlstrand Field House | Time: School Dismissal – 6:15 pm

Schools Serviced:  Horizon, Laurel Hill, Parkwood, and Ontarioville for kindergarten through 6th grade.

BASC Daily Pass

Don’t have a set schedule or need childcare when something comes up? Then this is your solution. The Daily Pass allows you to purchase days and use them when you need them throughout the school year.  There are guidelines that will be given out at the time of registration.  Please note that some dates may become unavailable based on program capacity.  No refunds are given on unused passes.

Days Off Club

School’s out, so join us for a day of fun!  Children will participate in a variety of games and activities to keep themselves engaged. Please pack your children a lunch and water bottle. An afternoon snack is provided. A morning and afternoon snack are provided. On days that all Hanover Park schools are off, we will be going on a field trip. This program is open to all children in grades K-8; enrollment in Before and After School Club is not required. Morning care is available from 6:15 am - 8 am see information listed below.

Preschool Mission Statement

The Hanover Park Park District’s Preschool program provides a safe and nurturing learning environment to encourage the progression of socialization skills,   motor skills,   and emotional development while encouraging independence, self-expression, and listening skills. Our students are prepared for kindergarten through the learning areas of numbers,   math,   letters, writing, reading, colors, and shapes.

 

Preschool 2021-2022 Enrollment Information 

1.Review class information.  Decide upon a class that will best fit schedules and the child’s age.  There is limited enrollment in these programs.

  • Little Learners is for children who are 3 years old as of August 30, 2021.

  • Pre-Kindergarten is for children who are 4 years old as of August 30, 2021.

 

2. Register by calling the front desk at the Community Center 630.837.2468.

  • You will need the first month’s tuition.

  • You will need a copy of your child’s birth certificate.

  • $15 non-resident fee will be charged at the time of registration when applicable.

 

3. Upon completing the registration you will receive:

  • Parent Manual.

  • Information Sheet concerning billing.

  • Emergency information form to be completed by the parent and given to child’s teacher on the first day of school.

 

4. All children must be toilet independent

  • Pull-ups are not acceptable for Little Learners and Pre-Kindergarten.  Please refer to the Totally 2’s & 3’s description regarding pull-ups for that program.

Make the smart choice to get your little one ready for kindergarten! Our curriculum is based on the Illinois Early Learning Standards. Students will learn about size, color, and shapes, numbers, reading readiness, following directions and time, while developing social-emotional and listening skills. Teachers will explore the alphabet, addresses, phone numbers, and name writing with your child. Classes are designed to prepare children who enter kindergarten in the fall of 2022.  A graduation celebration will be held at the end of the school year. Little Learners

Socialization and learning through play will fill your child’s day. Students are exposed to creative art expression, singing and rhythm activities, body movement, stories, free play, name recognition, fine motor skills, and activities related to everyday math, science, and language discovery.  This class is a great opportunity for your child to get ready for Pre-Kindergarten. Parents are encouraged to help 1-2 times a month in the preschool programs.*Information may change due to CDC guidelines.

This program is designed to provide your child with their first introduction to a preschool setting.  Our caring and qualified staff will help ease each child’s separation from their parent. Classes will emphasize socialization and learning through play.  Music, storytime, and arts and crafts are a few of the exciting new experiences your toddler will enjoy.  This program is an excellent stepping stone into our Little Learners program.

Totally 2s & 3s Enrollment Procedure

Registration must be completed by calling the Park District office (630) 837-2468.  The entire fee is due at the time of registration.  A copy of the child’s birth certificate is due at the time of registration.  Your child must be 2 years old by August 30, 2021.  Upon registering you will be given a copy of the parent manual, emergency form, and medication form.  The forms are due on the first day of class.   

 

Totally 2s & 3s Information

Parents may stay the first class to help ease their child into separation.  This is not a parent/tot program and will be asked to stop attending after the first class.* Information may change due to CDC guidelines.

 

Pull-ups are accepted, but our teachers are not able to change any child.  Children should be in the process of learning how to be toilet-independent while attending this program.  Parents must be available to return to the program to change their child’s pull-up or in case of a bathroom accident.
