Tennis Membership Fitness Court Times Ages 4-6 Ages 7-9 Ages 10-12 Ages 13-18 Adults 4-6 7-9 10-12 13-18 Adults 10ANDUnder Tennis Program 10ANDUnder Tennis takes a new approach to introduce kids to the game of tennis by utilizing kid-sized courts and kid-sized equipment. The tennis balls are lower in compression, allowing the ball to bounce lower and move slower, making it easier to hit and develop optimal swing patterns. The benefits are immediate. Kids will be rallying, making new friends, and psyched for more. You will be playing real tennis and having real fun! Make-up Policy: Make-up classes are never guaranteed, however during the summer you can make up all missed classes if there is another class at the same level with openings. So, don’t worry about vacation plans getting in the way; we can arrange make-up classes to take place before you leave for vacation or after you return! What to bring: Students should have closed-toe shoes, water, and a racket. Loaner rackets are available at the club as well as rackets for purchase. You will learn essential hand-eye coordination, motor movement skills, and proper technique on volleys and groundstrokes. This class is taught on a 36’ foot court, using a red ball that has 25% the bounce and weight of a regular tennis ball. Students should have a 21” racquet which can be purchased from our pro shop. Google Play Store Apple App Store Whether you are new to tennis or looking to continue to improve your overall game, this class will teach you all the tennis fundamentals. You will learn proper techniques on volleys, groundstrokes, and serves. By the end of each session, you will be playing real matches and be able to rally several balls from baseline to baseline. This class is taught on a 36’ foot court, using a red ball that has 25% the bounce and weight of a regular tennis ball. Students should have a 23” racket which can be purchased from our pro shop. Orange Ball 1 | Ages 9-11 Register Online on th e app! Google Play Store Apple App Store Orange Ball classes are taught on a 60’ court and use an Orange Ball which has 50% bounce and weight of a regular tennis ball. This class is designed for students who have proper technique and can consistently serve and rally and have been promoted from Red Ball 7-9. You will continue to improve all volleys, groundstrokes, serves, and match play and will be introduced to lobs, overheads, and proper footwork. Students should have a 25” racket which can be purchased from our pro shop. Orange Ball 2 | Ages 9-11 Register Online on th e app! You should be able to transition between a forehand or backhand with ease, serve with consistency, and be able to rally 3-5 balls with ease. Junior Development Program The Junior Development Program is perfect for those who would like to focus on their overall game from volleys, serves, and groundstrokes. Whether you are new to tennis or are looking to improve your game, these lessons will help you achieve your goals! **Make-ups for missed classes may be limited to 2 times per session depending on availability. You will continue to develop all facets of the game including consistency, power, strategy, footwork, and adding more advanced shots into your repertoire. Junior Excellence Program Membership is required for all Junior Excellence Programs Centre Court Athletic Club’s Junior Excellence Program (EX) is for students who are ready to take their game to the next level! This program will increase the amount of tennis you play allowing you to develop more quicker. In the EX Program, the pro-to-student ratio is lower allowing for more individual attention. Summer Camp Special Events Before School Club Preschool Dance Swim Lessons Pickleball Athletics Soccer Tennis Lessons Summer Camp Summer Day Camp For In-District & Out-Of-District Community members (ID/OD) Our All Day Camps will run from 8 am to 3 pm, giving parents the flexibility to choose between a 3-day program or a week-long adventure for their child. If your child is enrolled into Camp Sunset they will be walked over at the end of their camp day to Ahlstrand Fieldhouse if needed.
