Meet our New Dance Instructor Baylee Andres!

Baylee started dancing at the age of 3.  She grew up studying with top instructors in the Northwest suburbs in  jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap and Ballet.  Baylee was a class leader and started assisting classes as well as helping choose class costumes and organizing  props with her creativeness. Baylee also competed in solos and group routines that won high scores, judges awards and overalls.  She has taken various workshops in the Chicagoland area.  In high school she was on her high school dance team for three years.  Baylee found her love for dance at the age of 3,  her desire is to pass this love on to her students.

NEW! Private Competition Dance Lessons - Solos, Duets, Trios

The Hanover Park Park District is now offering private competition dance lessons for solos, duets & trios! Our private competition dance lessons are also convenient! Just inform us of what days and times work for you and we will cater the schedule to fit your needs as best as we can. Requests are taken on a first-come, first-serve basis.  All our private dance lessons will take place in our disinfected, clean dance room. After every private lesson, the instructor will sanitize the room throughout.

Our private competition dance lessons are personalized to fit the student's style and skill level. Your instructor will pay attention to only your child, which allows our instructors to focus on highlighting your child's strengths and work on their weaknesses. Through private dance lessons, you will find an accelerated rate of learning techniques and improved performance at your child's own pace. During your child's class time, they will learn techniques in the style that they desire. (one style per 8-week session). Students will also learn a short dance during their lesson that they will perform at the end of the 8 weeks in front of the judge(s) and be scored.

At the end of their session, students will come in to perform their dance in front of a judge(s) that will not be their regular instructor. They will be judged on their technique, overall performance/presentation, and timing. Each student will receive a trophy based on their score. All classes and judging will be done here at the Park District.
