“I Always Wanted to Play Piano”

Never had the chance to learn piano (or keyboard) as a child? Moms, dads, and seniors, this beginning class for adults is offered on Mondays mornings from June 21 through August 9 in conjunction with A&A Music Academy at 27W281 Devon Ave. (Ontarioville Rd.) in Hanover Park. You’ll learn all the basics and enjoy playing songs as you progress. Plus, studying music is one of the best ways to boost cognitive functioning at any age. Practice time is short, and will fit into any busy schedule. A book fee of $14 (payable to A&A Music) is due at the first class.  Call 630-837-7484 if you need driving directions.

BEAUTIFUL BAGS AND BOOKS

 

Enhance “togetherness” and discover the fun of making crafts together. Moms will work on a set of fabulous floral-themed gift bags using a great die-cutter and other cool supplies. Kids will create a bear-themed coloring book or photo album using stamps and inks. Paper artist Carolyn Rowe will provide lots of ideas for the future, too. (Think of the savings!) Guitar Boot Camp 1: NOW FOR ADULTS, TOO! Covers basic chords, scales, strumming patterns, and some basic music theory to get students playing quickly. Mini Latin and Ballroom Dance Workshop

Discover the wonderful world of ballroom and Latin dancing in this introductory/refresher course beginning Tuesday, June 8 through July 13. Pet CPR and First Aid

Our Pet CPR and First Aid classes have been designed to assist you, the pet owner, in emergency and/or life-threatening situations. The valuable information in these classes will help you to recognize and assess injuries and emergency situations, and will provide you with the ability to initiate treatment and react quickly until veterinary care is reached.  Our Pet CPR and First Aid classes are hands-on and interactive to ensure that you get the most out of your experience.  All classes are taught by instructors who are both team members at our hospital, and Red Cross Certified in Dog and Cat CPR and First Aid.  After taking the class, you will receive a useful manual of the topics covered in class, a first aid kit, and a certificate of completion.

People Training for Dogs

Don’t let your dog take you for a walk.  Begin a program to make your dog your best friend again! Our “pawsitive” reinforcement and proven dog handling techniques will produce a well informed handler and dog.  The first class is held without your dog.  Dogs are required to be up to date on immunizations (rabies, parvo and distemper) and a negative stool sample checked two weeks prior to the first class and documented by your veterinarian.
